Textbook: Call To Faith series (Harcourt Religion Publishers)

7th Grade objectives: A study of the Triune God concentrating on the Second Person.

8th Grade objectives: A study of Church History

Goals of both courses: - Help foster a person relationship with Jesus through study.

- Help develop the spirituality of each studnet through different vehicles of prayer.

- Help connect theory with practice through service opportunities. (7th grade will serve at the Purple Ribbon
   once a month. 8th grade will serve at Bruce Drysdale School once a week.)

- Help understand the traditions of the Church and the liturgical celebrations though first hand experience.

Grading based on: -Participation in class and service project.

-Behavior at the school's weekly Mass

-Homework, quizzes and tests.

-Special projects if applicable such as the 8th grade Saint research paper.

8th Grade Special Programs: -Spiritual Sponsor Program-an intergenerational community building program where a person
from the parish prays everyday for an 8th grader. They meet at a luncheon at the end of the year.

-Special assemblies-during Advent, Live Stations of the Cross and May Crowning.
