The Immaculata Catholic School Board makes recommendations to the principal in the areas of policies, marketing, development, technology, facilities and the financial operation of the school. The board formulates strategic planning for ICS and facilitates communication about the school to the Parish of Immaculate Conception Church as well as the Diocese of Charlotte.
While the School Board is not a governing authority, it does provide essential input in evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and approaches at the school level. The Board is made up of the pastor, school administrators, parents and parishioners, who are chosen for their varied backgrounds in faith, education, business, community connection and for their history of helping the school community to thrive and prosper. The ICS School Board meets the 4th Thursday of each month in Meeting Room 2 at 6:30 p.m. If you would like to address the School Board, please submit your request in writing to the Principal or Pastor for approval one week in advance in order to be placed on the agenda. We look forward to hearing from you!
Each Board member serves a two year term which may be renewed based on mutual consent. The types of activities in which the Board members are normally involved include: Short, Medium and Long Term Strategic Planning, Marketing & Communications Initiatives, Enrollment Initiatives, School Sanctioned Fundraising Events and Initiatives, Capital Improvement & Investment, Financial Operations, Review Community Outreach.
